SoftwareReviews, a division of world-class IT research and consulting firm Info-Tech Research Group, has published its 2020 Human Capital Management (HCM) Software Data Quadrant Awards, naming three gold medalists based on excellent customer reviews. The following vendors are leaders according to software users’ answers to some very interesting questions focused on user satisfaction, which have been crafted by seasoned analysts and backed by 22 years of IT research:
- UltiPro by Ultimate Software
- Ceridian Dayforce
- Workday HCM
What makes the SoftwareReviews Data Quadrant different? It is the inclusion of aggregated emotional response ratings in the areas of service, negotiation, product impact, conflict resolution, and strategy and innovation, creating a powerful indicator of overall user feeling toward the vendor and its product from the software users’ point of view. SoftwareReviews coins this insight the Net Emotional Footprint.
The Net Emotional Footprint score for each vendor is based on standard net promoter scoring, which for all HCM vendors produced an average of +72. UltiPro, with a Net Emotional Footprint score of +86; Ceridian Dayforce, with a score of +85; and Workday HCM, with +79, scored well above the industry average.
Where UltiPro shone brightest was in winning top product amongst its users for vendor capabilities and product features in a striking 13 areas. Highest scores for UltiPro went to its payroll admin feature and its capability in providing business value. Ceridian Dayforce earned top product in six areas, including its breadth of features and employee record capabilities. Workday HCM did consistently well, performing above average in all capabilities and earning runner-up to top product in its vendor support, compensation management, and time and attendance capabilities and features.
“The best relationship-builders in HCM software excel in their abilities to provide the right combination of aligning value to needs, offering functions that extend beyond the basic level, and resolving issues through good client support,” said Tracy-Lynn Reid, Director of Research, People & Leadership, at Info-Tech Research Group.
