Applauded for fostering an inclusive workplace
Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP recently announced that it has been featured in the Diversity Best Practices Inclusion Index. The index analyzes standards of excellence in diversity and inclusion measures. It checks for company culture, best practices in the recruitment, retention, and advancement of people from underrepresented groups, and transparency in sharing demographic data and progress made in hiring, retaining and promoting women, people of color and other minority groups. Katten is a full-service law firm with close to 700 attorneys in locations across the United States and in Shanghai and London. As a result of its measures in diversity, the company has made it to the list.
A number of diversity and inclusion measures employed!
Katten Muchin was one of the few companies that scored over 60% in the said criteria to be included in the index. The firm has employed a number of diversity and inclusion measures. The foremost among those is the certification for meeting standards of the Diversity Lab’s Mansfield Rule pilot program. As a result of this program, the representation of female lawyers and attorneys of color in law firm leadership is on the rise. In addition, the firm also participates in the Mansfield Rule 2.0 program to further improve diversity in its leadership ranks. Katten has also scheduled an LGBT Attorney Retreat for this August.
