The First-ever Apptio Centre of Excellence (CoE) Will triple the Number of Its Data Scientists and Developers
Apptio Inc., the innovative provider of software to fuel Digital Transformations, recently announced the opening of its first-ever Centre of Excellence (CoE) in India. The CoE was created in Bengaluru to support the company’s worldwide expansion in response to the improved demand for its cloud and financial management software. The company also aims to make use of India’s top technology talent in the process.
Apptio already has over 1000 employees worldwide. It serves a customer base that comprises half of the Fortune 100 companies. With the help of its newest Centre of Excellence, the company plans to triple the number of its data scientists and developers. The company is determined to position itself as a market leader in the field of data transformation. It wants to craft stronger solutions rapidly to assist CIOs to communicate the value of their IT investments in much better ways they might have done earlier.
Digital Business Continues to Be a Board-of-directors-level Issue Across the Globe
According to Gartner’s 2019 CIO Agenda: Global Perspectives, “digital maturity has increased markedly and uniformly across the globe since last year. And while it may be a small difference in maturity between Latin America, and EMEA, generally all regions have been investing in digital transformation. Business priorities reflect this, placing digital initiatives and growth as common, globally consistent business priorities among the four regions. Digital business continues to be a board-of-directors-level issue across the globe.”
The CoE in Bengaluru is Apptio’s first office in the region, but 18th worldwide. Their modern 100-seater facility accommodates over two dozen employees at this moment. In addition, the company is rapidly increasing its talent base with a large number of open vacancies. It is providing its employees with improved employee experience and skill development program to develop and service products for customers on a global level. The company is planning to build a permanent, state of the art office for 300 Apptio employees in Bengaluru. The facility will be ready by 2020. It plans to service a wide client-base in the APAC region from its base in Bengaluru.
Sunny Gupta, CEO of Apptio said, “Today, with companies across sectors depending on technology to stay competitive, IT has become a critical component for every business on the planet, and Apptio has created the leading platform to help customers manage this new paradigm.” He added that the company builds market-leading products that transform the IT operating model, regardless of industry or geography. Gupta also stated that the talent pool in India, mainly in Bengaluru, has a strong role to play in driving that contribution to building world-class products.
